We are Boy Scouts. We Camp. That's What We Do!
Troop 35 camps at least one weekend every month, every month of the year. We have campgrounds that we visit every year and others that we may only visit once every few years.
During the scouting year the troop participates in community events, high/low adventure trips and monthly camping outings. The Events/Activities page of this web-site describes the Troop 35 activities planned for the scouting year. General information about each activity is provided in the description section. Any question regarding a planned activity should be directed to the adult event coordinator. Any suggestions for additional activities should be brought up for discussion at the monthly PLC meeting.

Winter Camping
A little cold or a little snow doesn't stop Troop 35 from camping in the winter months. Buckeye Council offers the Polar Bear award to any scout or adult leader who camps for a total of 96 hours (2 1/2 campouts) between the months of November and March. To prepare for one of these campouts, see the Troop35 Winter Camping Guide at the bottom of the page.
Summer Camp
Troop 35 attends Buckeye Council Summer Camp at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation, near Kensington Ohio, in Late July. Check-out -> Seven Ranges' Facebook Page. See the Summer Camp Checklist listed at the bottom of this page to help prepare for summer camp.
One of the very unique programs presented at Seven Ranges Scout Reservation is the Buckeye Council Pipestone Camp Honors Program. Here is a link which describe the Pipestone Award and its Requirements. Do you need to study your plant knowledge before you attend summer camp? Listed at the bottom of the page is a checklist of the common plants found at Seven Ranges.
Medical Forms
Completed medical forms are required for each scout and adult who attend summer camp. BSA revised its medical form policy in 2009 to enforce this requirement and to ensure that all physical examination are conducted within the previous 12 months before summer camp. Listed below is a link to the new BSA medical forms.
Philmont
Philmont Scout Ranch is a high-adventure base located in the rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Troop35 attempts to schedule a scout crew every 2 years to attend Philmont during the summer. Troop35 also has taken adult crews in the fall when there is interest. Shown below are some photos of Troop35 crews on their Philmont adventure.
To complete rank requirements you can either go to an adult or an older scout to sign something off, or if you don't have the requirement completed yet you can ask them to help you complete it.
