The Scoutmaster is the adult responsible for working directly with the Scouts providing direction, coaching, and support. The Scoutmaster has three basic roles: providing the the junior leaders with the tools and skills so they can run the troop. ... being a good mentor and positive role model.
Silver Cardinal Award
The Silver Cardinal is an award created and given by Troop 35 to honor adult leaders who have participated in the troop while their sons were active and after their sons had graduated from scouting. The Silver Cardinal is the highest award given by Troop 35 to an adult leader for their outstanding service to the troop. The candidates are selected by past Silver Cardinal recipients for their service to the troop, participation in scouting and dedication to the scouting ideals. Listed below are the current holders of the Silver Cardinal Award of Troop 35.
Special Information for Troop 35 Alumni
A mailing list for Troop 35 Alumni is provided for discussion and distribute troop information. You will need to complete the following steps to join the alumni mailing list:

This should load a google groups subscription page. Please enter your email address and click the Subscribe button.
You will receive a confirmation email from google groups with a link to complete the subscription process. Press the "Join This Group" button in the email.
This should load a google groups page showing that you are now a member of the ohiotroop35 group. As a member of the mailing list and will receive all email messages sent to the list.
NOTE: Google has changed the rules and sometimes the "Join this Group" action fails (and you are asked to re-enter your email address). In this case just forward your confirmation email to webmaster@ohio35.org and we will add your email to the list manually.
To post to the mailing list send an email to ohiotroop35alum@googlegroups.com. NOTE: All posts to the mailing list are moderated by the webmaster, which may take time to process.
